The American company Chrysler presented a new concept electric car called Portal at the International Auto Show in Detroit.

The new concept electric car of the American automaker was created jointly with specialists from a division of the Japanese company Panasonic Automotive Advanced Engineering, which specializes in the development of electronic automotive systems.

The Chrysler Portal concept is positioned by the company as a car for the “millennial” generation. – people born in the period in the late 80s and early 90s, which, according to most anthropologists, are characterized by the greatest involvement in digital technologies. In addition, the on-board computer, based on the tastes of passengers, is able to recommend a restaurant along the route, the menu of which will appeal to everyone present.

Thus, the electric car is equipped with a face and voice recognition system, which is used to automatically apply the settings of some systems. In particular, the car can set the temperature regime preferred for a particular person, the level of interior lighting, and also turn on his favorite music.

Also, passengers can use the cameras located in the cabin to take selfies or group photos. At the same time, all captured photos will be automatically transferred to passengers' smartphones.

Like many modern concepts, the Chrysler Portal carries on board an autonomous control system that is capable of exchanging information with other similar cars, as well as with city infrastructure objects .

Under the hood of the “Portal’a” There is a fully electric motor, the characteristics of which are still kept secret. It receives energy from a lithium-ion battery module with a total capacity of 100 kWh. According to company officials, the car can travel up to 400 km on a full charge.
