50-year-old Ford Ecoline turned into an electric car

An interesting project was prepared by the American tuning studio Conductive Classics – restomod based on an old van from the seventies – Ford Ecoline. The whole essence of the project is that the car was turned into an electric car

In general, if we omit all the details, we can say that the Ford body crossed with the platform from Tesla Model 3. Since the studio’s specialists took the engine, batteries, suspension, brakes and many other parts from the brainchild of Elon Musk.

Of course, the project had a lot of non-trivial technical problems. For example, where to place the battery pack so that the practicality of the van is not compromised. Or where to install the charging port so as not to cut the body again.  Actually, in the first case, engineers were able to place the batteries under the floor and hide the charging port behind one of the rear lights.
